Step 1

Remove the water tank from steamer. Most steamers in the market come with separable water reservoir. So, separate it by maintaining the guidelines mentioned in the user manual.

Now, open the tank by removing the inlet cover from the top of tank.

Fill the reservoir with 50% distilled white vinegar and 50% normal tap water. Distilled white vinegar is perfect for cleaning process. You can find it at most superstores at affordable prices. If you don’t have this type of vinegar at home, select white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, or rice vinegar.

Step 4

Place the water tank to its original position.

Step 5

Connect steamer to a nearby power source. To prolong the lifespan of steamer, discard overloaded power connection.

Step 6

Now, turn on the steamer. Wait a while to allow the steamer to heat up.

Step 7

Press the steam button and continue steaming until you finish half of the vinegar and water solution.

Step 8

Empty out the water tank. Repeat the aforementioned processes (step 1 to step 7) again if you still observe mineral deposits inside steamer.  

Step 9

Lastly, it’s the cleaning time. Clean the water tank thoroughly and then properly dry it.
